Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or ‘micro-needling’ is a skin rejuvenation technique that utilises the Bioevolution Needling System, an electric hand held device with a disposable needle tip combining an array of sterile micro-fine needles which penetrate up to 2.5mm at variable speeds. The tiny needles pierce the skin creating imperceptible microwounds that close over within 60minutes. The principal behind this technology is to evoke a ‘pseudo injury’ effectively tricking the body into initiating a wound healing response.
